    Common Skin Problems

    1. Acne – due to overproduction of sebum, infected block pores causing inflammation and pus
    2. Dark spots or Pigmentation – Overproduction of melanin by melanocytes due to sun exposure and inflammation, changes in hormone levels or on some certain medications.
    3. Dull skin – A result of excess dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin. The skin loses its natural luminosity because of dryness, damaged cells or slow cell turnover, making it have a dull and lackluster appearance.
    4. Sagging skin – Skin becomes loose as it loses its elasticity due to a loss of collagen networks, elastin fibers, and hyaluronic acid.
    5. Fine lines and Wrinkles – Fine lines are small and shallow lines that appear on the face, mostly around the eyes and mouth. This is normally an indicator of first signs of ageing. Fine lines turn into wrinkles when we age because the collagen and elastin beneath the surface of our skin begins to break down. Wrinkles are normally deeper and in different areas of the face.

    Common Hair Problems

    1. Hair loss or hair thinning – It can be due to several reasons, including nutritional deficiency, stress, hormonal imbalance, and using the wrong hair products. Nutrients like sulphurated amino acid, vitamins, minerals and herbs can be taken orally to ensure healthy hair growth and strengthening from within.
    2. Dry hair and split ends – Over-brushing hair, excessive chemical or heat-styling damage, and lack of nutrients could cause split ends.
    3. Dandruff – Scaly particles that cling to the root of the hair, can be caused by a poor diet, an infection, or even a sluggish metabolism.
    4. Premature greying of hair – It is defined as graying of hair before the age of 25. It is a complex multi-factorial process mainly considered to be an interplay of nutritional, genetic and environmental factors. Nutritional deficiencies like vitamin B12 deficiency, severe iron deficiency, chronic protein loss and copper deficiency are often found associated with premature greying of hairs.
